Leeds at MIPIM 2008
28/02/2008
The fuse8 Leeds team is back and almost exhausted from a hugely successful MIPIM 2008 where numerous national clients looked to the team to provide design, event management and exhibition support during the 5 day long real estate summit - the largest and most prestigious of its kind in the world.
Due to its sheer scale and success, only MIPIM is consistently able to attract more than 6,600 investors offering a privileged perspective on the global market. MIPIM 2008 served as a quality showcase for hundreds of new real estate development projects from over 80 countries, including a particularly large delegation from the UK.
This year, the fuse8 experienced MIPIM 2008 team lead by Zoe Ward, provided support to UKTI, the lead government organisation that provides support for UK companies looking to develop international business and the UK Government with event co-ordination and invitation management for the Department of Communities and Local Government lunch on the 11th and 13th March at a beach front marquee on the famous Croisette in Cannes, South of France.
Other clients who attended this years event included Dandara properties, one of the UK most impressive privately owned property development companies, Countryside Properties, leader in property development, the creation of sustainable communities and urban regeneration, King Sturge, International property consultants specialising in commercial and residential property and BioRegional Quintain, the UK's leading sustainable community development business.
Because of the diverse nature of both our clients and the scale of their activity during MIPIM 2008, fuse8 Leeds took with them a full arsenal of skilled team members, all of whom resisted the glamour of the South of France and the temptation of drinking into the small hours, in order to deliver a schedule busting 36 meetings through the week.
Managing Director,
Nigel Hunter said "It's a hugely impressive event, with world recognition and immense competition to get noticed. Cities from the UK compete with developers from the Russian territories, and many, many glasses of beer, wine and champagne are consumed in an attempt to match funds with opportunities"
"I was delighted by our team and their commitment. They managed to match a UK 'Sir' with the senior representative from the Krasnovor region of Russia, responsible for the Sochi winter Olympics, and all in the space of a day. They were appointed to manage the brand development and marketing collateral for the Boddington's Brewery site in Manchester and opened the eyes of many to the importance of Search Engine Optimisation on their websites. And as is the way with fuse8, they made lots of friends along the way"
Looking forward, the team have made their bookings for 2009 already, are planning some world beating events of enormous scale for their clients and are looking forward to taking the marketing community from Leeds and the team at fuse8 onto the global stage"
